There’s something different about the first shoot

Every year when we kick things off with our senior ambassador team, it’s not just about photos. It’s about getting everyone in the same space, breaking the ice, and starting to build something that carries through the entire year.

This past week, we met up with our Class of 2027 senior ambassadors for their intro shoot, and right away, you could feel the energy.

We’ve got students from all over the area this year. Different schools, different personalities, different styles and that’s exactly what makes it work.

From the start, the goal isn’t to make everyone look the same.

It’s the opposite.

We want each of them to feel comfortable, figure out how they move, how they carry themselves, and what feels natural in front of the camera. For a lot of them, this is their first time doing something like this, and by the end of the shoot, you can already see the confidence starting to build.

A simple setup… on purpose

For this first shoot, we kept things clean and minimal.

Jeans. White tops. Natural light.

No distractions. No over-the-top styling. Just a focus on expression, connection, and getting everyone comfortable in front of the camera.

It gives us a solid starting point,

and it lets their personalities come through without anything competing for attention.

More than just a photoshoot

One of the biggest things people don’t always see is what happens between the photos.

The conversations.

The laughs.

The small moments where everyone starts to loosen up.

That’s where the real shift happens.

By the time we wrapped up, this wasn’t just a group of students from different schools it felt like a team.

What this means moving forward

This shoot is just the beginning.

Over the next year, these ambassadors will be part of multiple styled shoots, creative sessions, and their full senior experience. Each one builds on the last.

And if this first session was any indication, this group is going to bring something special to every shoot we do.
